Pet Dental Care

At Canyon Park Veterinary Hospital in Bothell, WA, we prioritize your pet’s oral health for a happy, healthy life.

Importance of Dental Care

Maintaining proper oral hygiene is essential for pets to prevent potential health issues. Dental problems can lead to discomfort, affect eating habits, and even contribute to more severe health concerns. Our focus on pet dental care aims to mitigate these risks and promote a healthier life for your pet.

Why Choose Us?

Cost:

We are a noticeably more affordable option than most other veterinary hospitals. We believe dental health is very important. We do our best by keeping it more affordable to owners. We maintain a high level of safety with minimal sedatives and full monitoring. We are happy to schedule a FREE dental exam for existing patients to go over the potential costs for your pet. Base costs are found at the bottom of this page.

Comfort:

When we start the anesthesia event, we give dogs a combination injection that instantly makes them happy, smiling, and sometimes wagging. They always relax (it’s the CUTEST EVER!!). Cats are given a similar injection. Then upon waking up, we give a nerve block if any discomfort is expected.

They go to sleep smiling, and they wake up comfortable and ready to go home.

Safety:

We monitor every patient with a blood pressure monitor, blood oxygen monitor, heart monitor and staff overseeing the procedure. In addition, the drug combination used is approved by Veterinary Cardiologists.

Quick Wakeup:

Pets wake up quickly and do not appear sedated.

Routine Teeth Cleaning Process and Base Cost:

We remove surface tartar with an ultrasonic and hand scaler. Assess the teeth. Decide if X-rays are necessary. Extract unsavable diseased teeth. Measure/record gum depths. Assess other disease processes (periodontitis/tumors/extra teeth). Decide if action is needed (stitching/lump removal). Polish and administer fluoride treatment.
